Composa beta

Third-party notices

Composa does not draw its own letters, and it did not write all of its own machinery. Everything it prints is set in typefaces other people designed and licensed for anyone to use, and it runs on libraries other people wrote and licensed the same way. This is the list of them — 47 families a document can be set in, 7 this website is set in, and 7 pieces of software it ships, each with the copyright notice the font files themselves carry or the licence the package declares. The full text of every font licence travels with the software, beside the fonts.

01The faces a document is set in

Shipped with Composa and loaded by the printer and the editor alike, so a page looks the same wherever it is made. A few are never offered in the font picker: they are what a family falls back to for a writing system it does not draw.

02The faces this website is set in

The chrome around the work — this page included. Served from Composa, never from someone else’s CDN.

03The software it runs on

The libraries a deployment runs or serves — not the hundreds that only build the code and stay behind. Each licence is the one the package declares for itself, read from the package and checked on every build.

Third-party marks and logos identify integrations and belong to their owners.
